Richard was always welcoming and always kind. If you sought his advice about any diy project he would always be willing to come and have a look and say whether it was in his skill set or not. I learnt alot from his advice. He was an honest man and did any job to the best of his ability. I will miss seeing him in the distance from my house, stood in their garden deep in thought with coffee mug in his hand. No doubt working out some project or other.
